A true example of GROW principles
Harriet Shing MP, Karen Cain from the Latrobe Valley Authority and Cameron and Makayla from GROW Gippsland recently met with Prue Hill and 3 of her fantastic trainees at Gippsland Physiotherapy Group.
The group had an honest and heart-warming chat about employment for young people in the Gippsland region; the barriers that may be faced and the stories of triumph after employment is gained.
Gippsland Physiotherapy Group, a GROW Gippsland Compact Member, hire and train young people through their traineeship programs run every year. Prue (pictured) is very passionate about giving young people an opportunity to gain skills and find employment through the 10 practices she owns with husband Paul. She finds great joy in helping young people, such as the trainees pictured: Annalise, Sarah and Anna, to find their perfect position.
GROW Gippsland encourages and supports the practice of inclusive employment, which occurs when organisations take proactive steps to employ people who have experienced barriers to work by offering employment, traineeships or work experience.
