Why did you choose to be a part of GROW Gippsland?

Kane is a signatory to the GROW Compact as we wish to provide economic and social benefit to the Gippsland region. By being a signatory of the GROW Gippsland compact we are given direct access to the many local businesses within the Gippsland region. These local businesses will aid in the delivery of large project’s such as the Wonthaggi hospital expansion project, but also provide social and economic benefit to the Gippsland region. Being a GROW Gippsland Compact member widens Kane’s involvement in the Grow program in Victoria with Kane previously signing on other GROW Compacts such as Grow 21.

What are you doing to support local business?

Working with GROW Gippsland’s procurement advisers to maximise the involvement of the Gippsland region and provide economic and social benefit to the Gippsland region. We are also encouraging subcontractors to utilise local suppliers where possible and aid in the benefit provided to the region from large projects such as the Wonthaggi Hospital Expansion.

Kane also present and attend GROW Gippsland events to aid SME’s to engage and connect with opportunities that are available.

Why do you think it’s important to employ locally?

It is important to employ locally as it generates positive social outcomes.

Kane is a signatory to the GROW Compact. We are committed to adding value to the Gippsland Region, including the social benefits through our local economic and social contribution. Local procurement can effectively contribute to building stronger communities and meeting social objectives and in particular facilitating employment opportunities to communities throughout Gippsland.
