New skills in an emerging industry

A recent partnership between Compact Member TAFE Gippsland and Sea Electric will see employment of people interested in the electric vehicle industry receive training developed and delivered through the collaboration.
The courses will focus on skills specific to the manufacturing of electric vehicles and will include; engineering, vehicle maintenance, manufacturing and auto-electrical.
SEA Electric, with the assistance of the Latrobe Valley Authority and Latrobe City Council, are planning a Latrobe Valley facility that will employ up to 500 local people to assemble the electric minibuses and vans.
