“No one is voiceless if you really listen to them”

Wednesday night saw 80 employers, disability support providers and industry representatives gather at the Warragul Country Club for the ‘A Job for Everyone’ networking dinner.

The event sought to highlight the impact having a job makes on someones life by breaking down perceptions, changing attitudes of low expectations and filling people with passion through real-life examples.

Guest speakers discussed the adaptions that an organisation can make to ensure their workplace is safe for everyone, where people with a disability feel comfortable to discuss their needs. Carly added that it only takes one person to change another’s life.

What steps could you take in your organisation to employ someone with barriers to work?
