Statement from GROW Gippsland regarding the COVID-19 virus

GROW Gippsland is closely monitoring government guidelines in regards to the outbreak of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), in order to best advise our ongoing activities.

Our main priority is the safety of our team and those around us.

Essentially, it will be business as usual, but we will be implementing social distancing, and utilising digital applications to replace face to face meetings and events.

More than ever, Gippsland businesses require support to reduce the impact of recent events. This continues to be enabled by Victorian State Government policies including the Social Procurement Framework, and Local Jobs First.

GROW Gippsland will continue to play a part in this work, supporting government departments and agencies to implement social procurement plans, key buyers to support local businesses through their tender and quoting processes; and to support local suppliers to access opportunities for work.

We are also working with a number of agencies to provide a regular update of support services available to Gippsland businesses, collated through a single source. We will let you know when this service is available.

Please visit the GROW Gippsland website for resources supporting these activities: https://growgippsland.com.au/

Or contact Cameron Spence, GROW Gippsland Stakeholder Engagement Manager, E: cameron.spence@arcblue.com.au, P: 0422 005 552.

Challenging times are also a great opportunity to support each other, and find new ways of working.

Take care.
