Business Description:

AUAV is the first national-scale drone services provider in Australia, focused on high-quality data capture, generally mapping/survey and inspection for larger clients and government agencies, but we cover anything in the ‘serious’ category really (no wedding photography or burrito delivery!). We have surveyors, civil engineers, draftsmen, inspectors, remote sensing experts and others on staff who can bring a bit more to it than just flying drones. We are also very collaborative, so tend to act as a bit of a hub for larger projects which might have aspects undertaken by local contractors, all delivered (and QC’d) under the AUAV banner.

What is your place of business?

I work from home in Sarsfield managing and conducting drone survey and industrial inspection operations in eastern Victoria and south-east NSW.

Why did you choose to be a part of GROW Gippsland?

To be a part of the local industry and be able to network with local businesses 

What are you doing to support local business?

We purchase locally and use local contractors where we can.

Why do you think it’s important to employ locally?

 This supports local economies and filters down to the communities we live and work in.

Tell us about a time that you were proud to be a part of your business/organisation:

Supporting local education programs presenting to a Drone Course via LEN and Careers Day. The Careers day resulted in taking on a work experience student for a week.
